What this app does

the wall is a small, private space where you and a handful of close friends share little things — icons, photos, drawings, notes, games. Everything you make is visible only to the friend you share it with.

What we collect

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address (or a private relay address if you choose to hide it) and your name if you share it. After sign-in we ask for a handle and optionally a display name and profile photo. You may also grant access to your camera, photo library, and location — only the features you use will read these.

What we store

We store your profile (handle, display name, optional photo, optional email), the friends you connect with, and the content you create on shared walls (icons, photos, drawings, todos, etc.). We also receive crash reports and a small amount of diagnostic data so we can fix issues. We do not sell your data and we don't run third-party advertising trackers.

Where it lives

Your data is stored using Google's Firebase platform (Firestore, Cloud Storage, Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics). Firebase processes data on Google Cloud infrastructure under Google's standard data-processing terms.

Sharing

Content you create on a shared wall is visible to the friend you share that wall with. Reports of objectionable content are reviewed by the app's maintainer. We do not share your data with advertisers or third parties beyond the infrastructure providers above.

Push notifications

If you grant permission, we send push notifications when a friend sends you something. You can turn these off in iOS Settings any time without losing in-app features.

Children

the wall is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will delete the account.

Your rights

You can delete your account from inside the app — Account → Delete account. Deleting removes your profile, friends list, sent and received invites, and the handle claim. Content you co-created on shared walls stays with the friend you shared it with (it's theirs too). You can edit your email and display name on the Account screen.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The last-updated date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated policy.
