The short version

Turtle Tennis doesn't collect any personal information: no name, email, contacts or location. There are no accounts, no ads, no purchases and no tracking across other apps or websites. It sends anonymous gameplay stats, which you can turn off.

Anonymous gameplay stats

The game uses TelemetryDeck to count things like matches played, which modes and difficulties are picked, how matches end, which practice lessons are finished, racquet upgrades, and how smoothly the game runs on your device. Each phone is represented by an anonymous, salted and hashed identifier that can't be traced back to you or used to track you, and the stats are never sold or used for advertising. Turn it off any time in Settings → Share anonymous gameplay stats.

Playing online

When you play online with friends, the game connects to the Turtle Tennis game server, which passes match moves between players. The server receives your turtle and racquet choices and your in-game name (a turtle name) so they can be shown to the other players in that match. Nothing is kept after the match ends. Beyond standard short-lived server logs, no IP addresses are stored.

Your progress

Your progress is saved on your device. If iCloud is on, Apple syncs your save between your devices through your iCloud account. The developer can't see it.

Game Center

Leaderboards and achievements are provided by Apple's Game Center under Apple's privacy policy. Your scores are shown to other players the way Game Center shows them.

Crash and performance reports

These come only from Apple, and only if you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings. They contain no personal information.

Children

The game collects no personal information from anyone, including children. The anonymous gameplay stats can't identify anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new date.
